Summertime is almost over again and with it our big outreach time at the basis, here in Panorama Center. One practice day followed the next and in between there were also volunteer weeks, in which OCGers could come to us in Walzenhausen for organic training. I had the opportunity to prepare a lot of projects, visualize and "resurrect" in some challenges, so that we could even function together as a swarm and move the mountains very practically!
This summer, we as OCG have spent a lot of time on the topic of "rest on every side". The term comes from the time of Moses, when God promised him and the whole people of Israel a rest from all enemies. This rest didn't just come automatically though, they had to take it piece by piece and defeat all enemies - who were many times superior.
On the last day of training we could summarize with my father-in-law, one point appealed to me very much. First he talked about one of the greatest "weapons" of the devil - the weapon of distraction! Distraction has never been so great as it is right now in our time. Starting with television, all the cell phones, sex, drugs, alcohol, partying, stimulants, all the over-the-top entertainment, music, sports, games, pleasure - all enemy tactics to distract. But what exactly is the devil distracting from?
Just recently, I remembered a lesson from my childhood: when my siblings and I had a fight, Mom would come to us and tell us about a "Divine Store". A supermarket that has everything! Whenever I realize I can't do something on my own, I can go to the Lord and exchange it with HIM. ...
It is so wonderful that more and more people are networking with each other and that as a result we can exponentially increase our joint clout in the area of exposing media lies and many other things. But what saddens me time and again is the following fact: when it comes to lending a practical hand with this, many people still apologize profusely, report on all their problems and hardships, and then sink back into their holes of lousy circumstances.
Our middle son had a small trampoline accident a few months ago. Since it left him with a torticollis, we went to the doctor, but he couldn't find a fracture on the x-ray. We were then discharged, but the doctor called us again that evening and said he kind of had a "funny feeling about it" and asked us to get an MRI* just to be on the safe side.
The main thing is that we are ONE! Experience deeper harmony in marriage and family and move mountains at home - is that possible? Irina reports on her experiences … My children and I were very excited and touched by the vision from the practice days. It is the perfect training field to grow together more, to discover new gifts and to find a deeper UNITY as a family and in marriage.
In 43 years of work, in which I was sick less than one month in total, I had received my first sick leave in November 2018. In the second one, I was "down to the bone" and also already had burnout symptoms. What I had suppressed for a long time, caught up with me and on the advice of my loved ones, I had myself medically "checked out".
For thousands of years we have known from prophecy that a “Millenni-um of Peace” will come. From the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray, “Your kingdom come … on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10) we learned that this kingdom is not going to be in heaven, but on earth. Since the whole universe, according to the Holy Scriptures, is breathlessly awaiting this highly esteemed “Millennium of Peace”, then how has it happened that we Christians have made everyone believe that “going to heaven” is our highest aim? In fact, all the heavens yearn to come down to earth!
Right now, in my personal quiet time with the Lord, I proclaim, "Jesus! I am the willing body of the perfect Head!" and go to work with this attitude. But at the latest, when it starts to pour down rain during a big transport with all kinds of "delicate" goods, I realize how quickly I am not really the calm body of the perfect head anymore ...
