What we speak has much more power

Grandpa told us at the Friends Meeting that God’s strongest “arrow” against evil is the spoken word. What you say, happens! Our word now has much more power than ever before. I have experienced that. It has been raining and storming really, really hard here recently. One evening there was a really bad storm. From one moment to the next it started raining soooooo hard, hailing, thundering and lightning that when you looked out of the house you could hardly see the neighbor’s house. Even in the house, we almost couldn’t hear each other when we talked because it was so loud from the storm. Then I had a huge urge: “Now I have to PRAY!” I went to my mom and said that I wanted to pray with her. So we prayed. I started and said that the storm should stop now. While I was still praying, it started to calm down, even though the storm had only just started a few minutes ago and warnings about this storm had been issued all over Switzerland. And by the time we had finished praying, the storm had actually passed and it didn’t come back. We could go to bed and sleep peacefully! That was so nice! I have experienced: Jesus hears when we pray! What we say has power! Whenever we feel the urge to pray or say something, we should absolutely DO it! Then it will happen! That’s how it is in everything! No matter what evil and fear-inducing things we encounter: We can go to Jesus in everything that presses and plagues us, pray and speak out in faith what should happen! HE listens to us and it happens!
