We remain ONE
Testimony from Irina I. (D, 38 y.)
The main thing is that we are ONE! Experience deeper harmony in marriage and family and move mountains at home – is that possible? Irina reports on her experiences …
My children and I were very excited and touched by the vision from the practice days. It is the perfect training field to grow together more, to discover new gifts and to find a deeper UNITY as a family and in marriage. Together we talked about the planned practice days and my husband, who is not a committed part of the OCG, agreed to join in on the practice days together with us. Since he is self-employed, he works a lot and is rarely at home, but he took extra time off for the practice days! My heart just cheered. Through the wedding message, “Seeing with new eyes”¹ from Ivo, at our Annual Conference (2019), the Lord opened my heart all over again for my husband and planted a new and deeper love in my heart. This reality has become more and more palpable at home and the atmosphere was cleansed of any accusation or heaviness. So my first priority was not necessarily that we do as much work as much possible, but to have as much ONENESS together as a family as possible. The joint projects with the children and with my husband focused on this oneness! After we had aligned ourselves together and envisioned that ONENESS is the ultimate GOAL for the practice day, we started. My son had the project with my husband, to install a new door and sockets in the nursery. The girls and I wanted to clean out the closets and sort out the old and no longer needed things and store them for the children’s-wear second-hand bazaar. Everything went very harmoniously and wonderfully. When my 12-year-old son and husband were done with the sockets, they wanted to install the door, but found that it was too narrow. Accidentally we’d ordered the wrong size! Earlier I would have been upset about this and probably also made reproaches, about how something like that could happen. But my heart was simply calm and in me immediately rose our vision: ONENESS! So I said to my husband, who was also a little down and disappointed, “Honey, this can happen to anyone, we’ll just re-order the right size.” And then we realized that this door fit exactly in the bathroom, which was still in need of renovation. So we could just laugh and reminded ourselves:
The main thing is that we are ONE!
