What the whole needs

Summertime is almost over again and with it our big outreach time at the basis, here in Panorama Center. One practice day followed the next and in between there were also volunteer weeks, in which OCGers could come to us in Walzenhausen for organic training. I had the opportunity to prepare a lot of projects, visualize and “resurrect” in some challenges, so that we could even function together as a swarm and move the mountains very practically! But – somehow, something had become more and more exhausting. In some small and bigger situations I felt that I had somehow lost my focus. What was it? A small incident from our family’s everyday life opened my eyes:

Another intense weekend had just passed, during which my wife and I had served together. My sweetheart was still a bit tired, while I would have loved to use the time again and tackle “urgent matters”. Anna-Sophia, however, was a bit overwhelmed with catching up on everything in the household alone, which had been left standing due to the longer weekend tasks. So, my project for said reasons did not meet with approval .

Although there was only a little spark inside me when I suggested to her that I would help her with pleasure to bring everything back into shape, after that was done in a short time, something in our atmosphere had changed! We found out playfully and with common joy, what was next. Even concerns I hadn’t gotten around to for weeks could be taken care of in no time at all, and there was even time for recreation. In short, this little change of course gave us a much better quality of life than before!

Then I also understood the principle which the Lord wanted to show me in this! If I cannot let go of “my” concerns for the sake of the overall need, which are also important and justified, I may miss the flow! Because: “The divine peace can always only exist where we live justly in accord with the needs of the whole!” (from the booklet “Rest on every side” by Ivo Sasek)

My focus is now again to live justly in accord with this whole. God gives us every blessing, every willingness, all necessary powers and talents! Do you also want to experience this? Come, join us and experience how you are given what you desire!
