Speak out

A lot of people tell me that I’m a “bright spark”. I can also make my siblings laugh quite well. Dad and mom say that I’m a “happiness hormone” (I don’t know what that is, but I think it’s something great ). I have a lot of joy in my life.

Unfortunately, because I’m so happy, I often forget to put my pyjamas in my clothes box in the morning, for example, or my clothes are scattered all over the place in the evening. Now mommy and daddy are practicing with me how to be tidy. Now I can always fold my clothes neatly and put them in my little box. Once, when there were lots of my things all over the room, I suddenly thought that I couldn’t fold it all and that it was far too hard for me. Then I had to cry a bit and wasn’t so happy anymore. Even when my mom showed me how to do it again. I just said that I couldn’t do it. Mom then said that I could go into my room until I thought I could do it and was happy again. At first I cried in the room. But then it occurred to me that I could SPEAK OUT if I couldn’t (I learned that from Daddy!). So I spoke out loud and said: “Dalée (Daniel) can fold that! Jesus is helping me NOW! Now I am happy again and don’t have to cry! Jesus IS in my little heart!” Then I folded all my clothes nicely and went out of my room very happily and went to mom beaming.

Suddenly it worked after I had spoken! Mom and I had so much fun together! That was really nice! I’ve done that a few times and every time it worked after I said what I couldn’t say before!
