look at them and realized that we got precious cherry- and maple wood, which we could use for our noise protection doors and frames without paying a penny. A small group of adolescents from our region were making 15 high quality noise protection doors from this and other remaining material or gifts in their free time. The leader of this youth project was himself still in a schooling to be a carpenter and was able to use the workshop of his company without restrictions because they said it would be a premium further education for him. We would have never been able to pay such doors. Our original goal was to use glass of old sashes for the windows of the direction- and studio rooms because on principle we buy nothing new if there is existing material which is lying around unused. The bricks for the windows spaces had already been laid the exact size when two of the exactly counted glasses unfortunately broke. After being discouraged at first, we strengthened our hearts in the faith that there would be something greater waiting for us. Some days later our colleague Frank said to me casually, that he had a big amount of noise protection sashes standing in his soundmeasuring-laboratory, which would be thrown away after current tests. So we got brand-new high-quality triple-noise insulating protection glasses of the newest standard from his laboratory, which normally would have cost thousands of Francs. Afterwards we found out that the glasses, which we had planned to use first showed noise protection data that would have been too low. And the best part is: Frank's glasses had exactly the right measures for the holes, which we had made for the old existing sashes. And these didn’t even have any standard measures. An OCGer, which has an own electric specialized shop called us and said: „I am just removing almost new network 42
